How to Program Blackweb Universal Remote
There are 2 different methods to program your Blackweb remote for your TV, DVD, Blu-ray, or any other device. They are direct codey entry and auto code search methods. Out of these two, direct code entry is the easiest one but you should know the correct remote code before you proceed.
In the case of auto code search, you don’t have to know the code, it will automatically find the compatible code from the code database and save it for you. Therefore the method takes some time to get your remote programmed.
With Code (Direct Code Entry)
- Switch ON your device (such as TV, DVD, soundbar, etc.)
- Press and hold the PROGRAM button on the remote until the power button lights up red and stays lit.
- Now select the device you want to program. For example, if you want to pair it with your TV, press the TV button. The red light will blink once and remain on.
- Enter the 4-digit remote code for your device brand using the number keypad. (Find the codes in the table given above). If a valid code is entered, the red light will turn off. If the light remains on, try a different code provided for your device.
- Lastly, test your remote with your device to ensure all the buttons work as expected. If some buttons or features don’t work, try a different code from the list.
Without Code (Auto Code Search)
If you are not able to find a compatible code for your device using the above method, you can try the auto code search method. Here’s how to do this.
- Manually turn ON the device you want to pair with the remote.
- Press and hold the PROGRAM button on the remote until the power button lights up red and remains on.
- Select a device from the device categories you would like to control. The power button will blink once to confirm your selection. If you are unsure about the device button, refer to the list below.
- TV: TV, TV/DVD, and other TV combinations.
- SAT/CBL: Satellite, Cable, DVR, and other set-top boxes.
- B-RAY/DVD: Blu-ray Players and DVD Players.
- STREAM: Roku, Apple TV, Xbox, and other streaming media players.
- AMP: Sound Bars, Audio Receivers, and other audio devices.
- AUX: VCRs, Digital Frames, and devices not found on the code list.
- Aim your remote at the device and press and hold the OK button until the device turns off. The power button LED will blink as the codes are being tested.
- When the device turns off, immediately release the OK button to save the code.
- Finally, test the remote to ensure everything is working as expected. If not repeat the process.
Note: The auto code search method will take about 10 minutes to scan through all the possible codes for your device. If you have released the OK button accidentally during the process, you can repeat steps 1 to 5 given above to resume the code search.
